What to Do With Your Old Cell Phone When You Get a New One

More and more people are getting rid of their iPhone 4/4s and getting a new iPhone 5. Who can blame them? The iPhone 5 is even better than the beloved iPhone 4s! But what should you do with the old phone? You might be tempted to keep it for a while (we understand, it holds a lot of memories), but we have a few better ideas that will give your old phone the respect it deserves.
Donate it
There are multiple programs where you can donate cell phones that are still in good shape. Cell Phones for Soldiers is a particularly great one. Established by Rob and Brittany Bergquist (teen siblings!) in 2004, Cell Phones for Soldiers collects gently-used cell phones and provides a cost-free method of communication to troops while they’re deployed. Get rid of your old phone, and support your troops!
Recycle it
Best Buy recycles all kinds of electronics (cell phones, TVs, DVD players, old cables, etc). The best part is that no matter where you’ve purchased your electronics, you can recycle them at Best Buy.
Sell it
