The Over The Top Bike Mount is normally mounted to the right of the stem to center the phone over the stem. For my son's bike, I mounted it to the left of the stem because the bracket for his front light was mounted on the right. It works perfectly. I love that included in the box is everything needed to fit any size handlebar. The mount is very durable but also nice looking. The ROKLOCK system is secure and easy to use. It meant having to get a Rokform case to go with it, but that was also a positive. My son likes it better than his Otterbox case."
