Unboxing and Setup

Does the iPhone 17 need a case?

Yes. While the iPhone 17 lineup is more crack-resistant than older models, it’s still vulnerable to drops and impacts. A Rokform case provides the protection you need—without unnecessary bulk.

How strong is the iPhone 17 Pro Case?

The Crystal Clear iPhone 17 Case is military-grade drop tested (MIL-STD 801G-517.6) and protects up to 4x better than competitor cases. Despite its slim and stylish design, it provides serious drop protection you can trust.

Can I use Rokform’s magnetic and twist lock mounts with the iPhone 17 Crystal Case?

Yes! The Crystal case works with all Rokform magnetic mounts and the RokLock® twist lock system. Secure your iPhone 17 in cars, trucks, bikes, motorcycles, golf carts, and more—with powerful magnets and our patented 4-point twist lock.

Are the iPhone 17 cases MagSafe® compatible?

Yes. The Crystal case features a built-in MAGMAX™ magnet array and works with all Rokform wireless chargers. Compatibility with third-party MagSafe® products may vary, but we guarantee performance with Rokform chargers.

What’s the difference between the Rugged and the Crystal case?

Rugged Case – Matte black with a carbon fiber-style texture for a tactical look. Crystal Case – Clear back to showcase your iPhone’s color. 👉 Both offer identical protection, function, and mounting compatibility.

What colors are available?

Rugged Case: Black. Crystal Case: Clear.

Is the case waterproof?

No. The case won’t make your iPhone waterproof, but iPhone 17 models are already water-resistant.

Will the magnets affect my phone?

No. Rokform’s magnets are proven safe for smartphones and credit cards. The only exception: the center magnet blocks wireless charging—remove it if using MagSafe® or Qi chargers. ⚠️ Keep loose magnets away from children and magnet-sensitive devices (like pacemakers, hard drives, or hotel keys).

How easy is the case to remove?

Very easy. Both Rugged and Crystal cases install or remove in just seconds.

What is the purpose of the magnet?

Convenience. Attach your phone to fridges, toolboxes, golf carts, car mounts, forklifts, police vehicles, fire trucks, and more. Customers love the versatility for everyday and professional use. Covered by our 60-day money-back guarantee.

Does the magnet affect signal or connectivity?

No. Your GPS, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, and cellular signal remain unaffected.

Is the case compatible with tempered glass screen protectors?

Yes.

What materials are used?

Polycarbonate (PC): Strong, impact-resistant plastic used in helmets and riot gear. TPU (Thermoplastic Polyurethane): Semi-soft, shock-absorbing rubber for grip and drop protection. Rokform uses 85D TPU for the ideal balance of durability and comfort.

Is the iPhone 17 Pro Max case pocket-friendly?

Yes. TPU provides just the right amount of grip—secure in the hand, but smooth enough for easy pocket removal.

What is the RokLock® twist lock?

A patented mounting system for cars, bikes, motorcycles, golf carts, and more. Twist and lock for secure, worry-free mounting.

Does the case come with a lanyard?

Every case has a built-in lanyard slot (lanyards sold separately).

What if I don’t like it?

No problem. Rokform offers a 60-day money-back guarantee and a 2-year warranty.

Does the case scratch easily?

Rugged Case: Scratch-resistant carbon fiber texture. Crystal Case: High-polish polycarbonate that may scratch, but TPU edges help minimize surface contact.

Is this a good case for work?

Yes. From construction sites to offices, Rokform cases are trusted by professionals across industries for durability and convenience.

Where is the case made?

Designed and tested in Irvine, California, manufactured in China.

How long will the case last?

Most customers keep their case as long as they own their phone. The 2-year warranty covers any issues.

Will the case work with non-Rokform magnetic mounts?

Maybe. Performance can vary since non-Rokform mounts use different magnet orientations. For best results, use Rokform mounts, which are engineered to work seamlessly with our cases.

How strong are the magnets?

Lower magnet (6.1" & 6.7"): ~9.88 lbs. pull strength. Center magnet (all sizes): ~6.3 lbs. pull strength. Made with N52 Neodymium, the strongest grade available.

Does the case include a screen protector?

No, but Rokform tempered glass screen protectors are available separately.

Are belt clips or holsters available?

We’re excited to share that a new version is currently in the works and scheduled to launch in 2026!

Is the phone slippery in the case?

No. The ergonomic design and TPU blend provide a secure, comfortable grip.

Do the speakers and buttons work well with the case?

Yes. Oversized ports ensure clear sound, and button cutouts make pressing effortless.

Does the case show fingerprints?

Rugged: No. Crystal: Minimal, thanks to recessed design.

Is it easy to swipe and gesture with the case?

Yes. The protective lip does not interfere with swiping or edge gestures.

Can I attach a strap or lanyard?

Yes, both Rugged and Crystal cases include a lanyard slot.

How much drop protection does the case offer?

Up to 6 feet at any angle—backed by real-world customer survival stories.

Is the case thick or bulky?

No. It’s slim enough for daily use but rugged enough for serious protection.

Is the case rigid or flexible?

Rigid enough for serious protection, but not stiff or cumbersome.

Does the case protect the camera?

Yes. 2.5mm of raised edge protection around the lenses.

Does the case wobble on flat surfaces?

No. Both Rugged and Crystal cases lay flat for smooth use.

Does the front of the case protect the screen?

Yes. 1.75mm raised lip with reinforced corners—up to 4x more than competitor cases.

Are the cameras and flash fully usable?

Yes. Oversized cutouts ensure clear, unobstructed photos and flash.

Are the side buttons covered?

Yes. Buttons are protected but remain light and responsive to press.

Will the case fully protect my phone?

Yes. Daily use, drops, and abuse are no match for Rokform cases. Pair with a RokGlass protector for extra screen security.

Reviews

Perfect Case!

"I have always had this brand of case. When I had my old phone the 13 pro max I had the solid black case. Magnets are great especially at the gym. Now that I have my 17 pro max I have the crystal case so I can still see the phone’s color. But it still has all the protection and magnets like the other case. Great product and you won’t be sorry."

— Danny H. (5/5)

It’s great!

"In years gone past the crystal case was thinner than the rugged case. My wife wanted the rugged case and I wanted the thinner crystal case. But after receiving them we found them to be almost identical in size, so we swapped cases so she can see more if the orange of her phone and have more of the carbon fiber look. We are perfectly happy with both cases! Five years ago I was in a three car pile up and my phone never left the magnetic dash mount! After that I don’t think I’ll ever buy another case other than Rokform!"

— Robert W. (5/5)

Case works great and is easy to remove for cleaning

"I ordered this case for my iPhone 17 Pro Max and it fits like a glove. I initially Opted to add the magnet on the center piece and wow is it strong! The only con is if you use the center magnet piece, you are unable to use the MagSafe charging capability of the iPhone but the good thing is that’s optional. I trust their products to keep my phone safe!"

— Javier A. (5/5)

Best phone case

"Stylish and best and last phone case I will ever need to buy!"

— Robert W. (5/5)

Great quality

"All 3 of the items I ordered arrived super fast and once I opened them I could tell they were really well made. I love the magnet built into the case. As a mechanic it’s super helpful to be able to stick my phone to my project and have it hands free."

— Robert B. (5/5)

Happy with the case

"This is the second case I bought from you guys very satisfy. I still need to buy extra gear for my phone."

— Juan R. (5/5)

Love the case!

"Case is a perfect fit in the hands and the magnetic features make it even better! The only downside is that if you have the clear plug or magnetic plug out dust and other things accumulate. A small oring around that plug on the inside of the case would definitely help keep it from moving throughout the case and causing issues."

— Oscar B. (5/5)

ALL IS EXCELLENT, SYSTEM LOOKS

"ALL IS EXCELLENT, SYSTEM LOOKS AND DESIGN, IS VERY CONFORMATABLE AND DURABLE, I WAS GREAT EXPERIENCED WITH IPHONE 13 PRO MAX CRYSTAL CASE AND I HOPE TOO IN MY MOTORCYCLE, WITH PERCH MOUNT AND VIBRATION DAMPENER, ALL WORKS EXCELLENT. THANKS."
