Last month, one of the most severe storms in history passed through the state of Texas, leaving widespread devastation across the state. In the storms’ aftermath, millions of Texans were left without power, some for several days. Today, we’re sharing a survival story that was sent to us by one Rokform customer and Texas-local who found himself in the thick of the storm action.
The Story
As snow blanketed most of the state, a rare occurrence in the Lone Star state, many drivers found themselves ill-equipped to handle snowy and icy road conditions. Luckily, good neighbors like Steve, a Rokform customer, were around to support those in need.
I just wanted to let you know how lucky I was to have your case on my phone. With our big storm and Texas I was helping tow cars up the hills. Dropped my phone in the snow. Found it 18 hours later. My phone was run over and frozen. But no damage at all and works perfectly.
Incredible! We’ve heard stories of Rokform cases getting run over and surviving, but this is definitely the first time we’ve heard a phone withstanding the elements and the road. We want to thank Steve for sending us this story, but more importantly for being a good samaritan by helping his neighbors and strangers get a tow in the middle of the storms.
