Why you should follow: Wilson tweets about gadgets, tech trends, and how new technology changes our lives. What’s especially great about Rothman is that he’s quick to respond to tweets his followers send him.

Bio: “I’d rather be panoing.”
Why you should follow: Matt Buchanan is a real guy. As much as you want industry news from professionals, you also want to follow someone who will give you his honest opinions and viewpoints. He knows the latest rumors, because he writes for big tech sites, but rest assured, his Twitter account is all his own.
Sample tweet: iOS updates without new features feel like Christmas presents that have nothing inside. Except razors.
Bio: “Tech columnist, NY Times; PBS NOVA host; Missing Manuals creator, dad of 3!”
Why you should follow: David tweets about things he’s written on New York Times’ site, funny quotes from his kids, and tech industry news. He’s a big player in the tech industry, but his Twitter account is a nice glimpse into his real life.

Bio: “Technologies that change the way we live, work, love, play, think and feel.”
Why you should follow: You’ve probably heard about the Gizmodo’s parent company, Gawker. Gizmodo has a similar, snarky tone, but with a focus on tech news. They’re also not afraid to step on some toes to confirm latest rumors. For example, they were the ones who broke the news that the iPhone 4 was on its way before Apple confirmed.

Bio: “Official Twitter account of Engadget”
Why you should follow: A gadget-focused account that brings you the most up-to-date news on consumer electronics and technology.

Bio: “A thaumaturgist working on the Xbox team since 2003. Named one of Mashable’s ’13 Bona Fide Geeks to Follow’ Married to @thehappygirl”
Why you should follow: Larry is the director of programming for Xbox Live. He has weekly podcasts called “Major Nelson Radio.” He also tweets regularly about updates to Xbox Live and engages his followers by hosting contests.

Bio: “Wired’s official Twitter feed.”
Why you should follow: Wired features news and reviews from all over the tech world—from video gaming and consumer electronics to robotics and scientific advances.
